Ode to the light almond Amana!

So, we have our own little fridge saga. We recently purchased a new fridge for our kitchen even though the old one was in pretty good condition. We wanted to give the old one to Shari and Marius as an extra for them. They have provided us with countless baby things, so we thought this would be a nice gesture. Yesterday my dad and I loaded it on mom's pickup and strapped it in for the trek up to Eden Prairie. They departed this morning with Pearl at the wheel. After about 2 miles from their place she hit a bump and the thing actually "lifted" out of the pickup, struck the ground on its top corner and skidded to a halt on the side of the road. We see no sign that it actually even hit the side of the pickup bed before it went over...amazing it didn't damage mom's pretty white pickup!

If we ever attempt to haul a fridge in the future, we'll pay more attention to the strapping part!

My dad and I barely got it on the pickup with just the two of us...maybe some physics pro can explain how it happened. Until then we'll just be thankful in the knowledge that God really didn't want us to get on the interstate going 70 mph with it!

Sorry Shari and Marius...I guess it's the thought that counts, right?
