Ali here again...Can't believe that Jenaya is over 3 weeks old! The time is going quickly (except for a few long nights here and there)! We've been staying home mostly due to the very cold temps and snowstorms we've had here in SW Minnesota.
Dan, Jenaya, and I did venture out to do our Christmas shopping this past Saturday. We thankfully had good weather and a very content baby! Jenaya let us shop, go out to lunch, and shop some more...(We were gone for about 8 hours!) Needless to say, we all were a bit tired Saturday evening and all day Sunday. Jenaya also did get to meet her great-uncle Dan and my cousin's husband, Scott on Saturday night. They were in town hunting with Grandpa Ceynowa.
Yesterday, Jenaya and I braved some not-so-wonderful weather to go to Dan's school in Rock Valley. (Thank you to Grandpa Breuer for driving!) Dan's 6th grade class had a shower for us. We enjoyed some cake and games with the students. I'd like to point out that I beat Dan at changing a baby doll's diaper (it was one of the shower games)! The teachers also had a very nice shower for us after school. Jenaya slept through both showers!
We are looking forward to the upcoming holiday. Aunt Shari and family are planning to come this weekend and we'll celebrate MacKenzie & Addison's first birthday! Dan's last day of work is this coming Tuesday and he's off until January 5th! (I'm very excited to have him home with us!) We'll also celebrate Nana Carol's b-day this coming week. Our other plans for the holidays include lots of time with family and hopefully (weather permitting) some visits from out-of-town family (Great-grandparents and great aunts and uncles!) And, we hope to spend some time with friends coming home for Christmas. Happy Holidays!
