We've had a busy few weeks here in Luverne! Although the weather hasn't made it feel too summery yet, we are still enjoying a relaxed summer schedule.
Jenaya has made the transition to a big full sized bed! She was at first a bit leery of the id
ea. However, once Dan got her bed all put together, she was very happy and loves to show it off to anyone who stops by for a visit. I'm also proud to say that Jenaya is fully potty trained, which was a summer goal of mine! Between watching her learn more how to swim this summer to putting her to bed in a big girl bed, I'm truly seeing my little babe turn into such a big kid!
This past weekend we had the joy of celebrating Pearl and Leroy's 45th wedding anniversary!
We decided to do something different for a celebration outing and headed to the local Prairie Heights Bison farm. We enjoyed a tour, which got us very up close and personal with a herd of bison. We got to feed them (did you know that they have very rough tongues?!)
It was funny to watch everyone giggle and scream as these huge animals (including some massive bulls) come right up to our tractor cart. Later we enjoyed a delicious meal of bison burgers.
One of the best things about our family get-togethers is having all the cousins play together. With the age differences between all the cousins (our oldest nephew is now 16!!) it's fun to watch them all run around the Breuer farm. The "triplet cousins", Jenaya, Addy, and Kenzie, play together well (although some disputes over baby dolls do occur) and often are heard giggling and singing together. We are all a bit worried about what kind of trouble those three might get into together in their teen years though!!
More fun is planned for this summer including the Ceynowa Family 4th of July in the Twin Cities and our annual Black Hills trip with Nana and Papa Ceynowa (AND, this year will include Uncle Nic and Auntie Bryony!!)
