Hello! The summer is winding down for our family. Dan has started back full time at his school and will have students coming back in two weeks. I will go back full time later this month and will have students again after Labor Day.
Jenaya has two teeth! (The bottom ones and I'm expecting that the top ones will be here soon.) She scooting around on her bottom and is getting in the crawling position, but hasn't figured out quite yet how to best get moving. Otherwise, she's still zooming around walking with our help. She also is developing a love for books. She will sit for endless minutes flipping through her board books. She loves to look at the books with animals and babies...
We've continued to stay busy. We made a quick trip down to Omaha the other week to visit my good friend Rose and to take Jenaya on her first trip to the zoo! The monkeys were by far her favorite (while the "big cats" were Dan's fave)....We also spent a day celebrating with our good friends, Dave and April, and their soon-to-be born baby with a baby shower. We got to catch up with all of Dan's Augie roommates that day and Jenaya got to play with her buddy, Morgyn!
Up next for our family is another trip to the cities to celebrate our nephew's 5th b-day! Otherwise, we are busy preparing for the return to full time work and Grandma DayCare. I feel again like I'm returning to work from maternity leave. I'm sad for the things I may miss while at work, but again am so very grateful to have the two best grandmas watching our girl!
