Hello!! We hope everyone is enjoying summer so far! (This picture is from June 8th before one of our walks! Jenaya had to be bundled up because it was chilly! We are ready for some warmer temps.)
I've been off full-time work for a little over a week and have been loving my time home with Jenaya! Again, I am so thankful to have taken a job where I have summers mostly off.
We've been staying busy at home with catching up on housing cleaning and organizing that didn't get done in the last 6 months...Plus, Jenaya and I are busy making her homemade baby food purees. Some of her faves to date are sweet potatoes, bananas, peas, and butternut squash! She getting to be a great eater.
Jenaya had her 6 month check-up at the beginning of this month. And, she's almost 20 pounds and 28 inches long! We aren't crawling yet, but she loves to sit by herself and stand with our help.
Dan still goes into work some days in Rock Valley, but he is also doing some upkeep on our house in Inwood (we currently are renting it out). He also has been doing some house projects here in Luverne, like repainting the trim on the house. I think Jenaya is a daddy's girl because she's always got a big grin for him when he comes home to play!
We are heading out in a few days for Jenaya's first trip to the Black Hills! We are a little nervous how a 5 hour plus drive will go with her! We plan to leave really early, so hopefully we can get her to sleep for a good chunk of the trip. We'll be staying in a cabin with my parents, and Jenaya will get to be with her great grandpa on her first Father's Day. We also will get to see Grandma and Grandpa Breuer and the Guy cousins because they are renting a cabin for a couple nights out there as well!
